Deckmatics is architected around strict non-destructive operation:

• The analyzer inspects audio files strictly in read-only mode.
• The application never overwrites, mutates, renames, re-encodes, or deletes files residing on your local drives or USB drives.
• All diagnostic summaries, LUFS computations, and spectrograms render in temporary browser memory.

2. Technical Disclaimer & Inference Nuance

Audio diagnostics (spectral low-pass cutoffs, transcode detection, True Peak calculation, dynamic range, and EBU R128 metrics) are generated through real-time mathematical algorithms:

• These diagnostics serve as technical guidance for DJs and engineers prior to club playback or mastering.
• Specific music genres (Lo-Fi, vintage hip-hop, vinyl rips, field recordings) possess intentional acoustic roll-offs that do not constitute counterfeit files.
• The user remains ultimately responsible for artistic choices, playback leveling, and acoustic calibration during live sets.

3. Software License (MIT) & Intellectual Property

The platform source code is published under the permissive MIT License:

All scanned musical recordings and phonograms remain the exclusive property of their respective creators and copyright owners. Deckmatics claims zero rights over scanned audio.

4. System Availability & Browser Compatibility

The software relies on modern web standards (Web Audio API, WebAssembly, and Canvas 2D):

Optimal performance requires standards-compliant browsers. Legacy browsers lacking W3C Web Audio API support are unsupported.
